Earlier this year, Brooks and Fleet Feet announced the Brooks XC Championship, a high school Championship set to fill a void left by Foot Locker's announcement to end their high school championship.
The winners of the Brooks XC Championship at Balboa Park on December 13th will automatically earn a spot on the Team USA U20 World Cross Country team. Like Footlocker's previous championship, the Brooks XC Championship will host regional qualifiers - with the top ten finishers at each region earning spots at Brooks XC.
Athletes in Arkansas will compete in the South Region at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 29.
