Austen Dalquist took some time to sit down and talk about running at the upcoming NCAA Indoor champs and Texas Distance Festival

We track all sorts of data here at MileSplit.  So we decided to share some of the facts.  Today, we have a popularity contest. 

3 Texas Athletes competed in the pretigious Adidas Grand Prix meet at Icahn Stadium in New York. Malcolm White (Katy Taylor), Kourtnei Johnson (Italy) and Austen Dalquist (Keller) all earned the golden ticket. Golden Tickets were given out only to the most elite kids in the US.  Just to compete in this event was an honor. 

Ricky Faure, Sukhi Khosla, Blake Haney, and Garrett O'Toole, whose 4:01.89 mile last week leads the nation, will headline the Boys' Dream Mile at the adidas Grand Prix on Saturday, June 14, organizers announced today.

Austen Dalquist (Keller) qualified for the Adidas Dream Mile in NY.

This past weekend state champions were crowned.  Ever wonder which had the best performance in each event?  Yeah – we did too.  Check out the top performances from the craziness that is the UIL State Track Meet. 

Hi this is Oceane, here to recap the regional track meets! Thecompetitors for the state meet have been determined, and there were some incredible performances along the way.    

  Hi it's Oceane, here to recap the area track meets. There are only 3 weeks left until the state track meet, and we're starting to get an idea of who's in contention for the state titles.

  Hi this is Oceane, and today I will be recapping Texas Relays. There was so much great competition, fast times and new records, this year’s relays was definitely a success. I must admit it was a rather stressful event-I was initially refused a press pass because of my age, but I conducted interviews outside the stands and eventually was given a pass.

Despite having some of the fastest times in the country at 1600 meters (US #7 4:11.97), 3200 meters (US #3 9:00.49), and 5000 meters (US #3 14:48.41), Keller High School (TX) senior Austen Dalquist has remarkably yet to qualify for a Texas State Outdoor Championship meet individually. Dalquist is looking to rectify that this spring.

  \ Congratulations to Devin Clark   Smithson Valley and  Austen Dalquist Keller  for earning Txrunning 5A Athlete of the Week- Distance.  

  Starting with the sprints, some standout performances were Lexie Lewis’s 24.25 200m at the Abilene Warhawk Relays, which ranks her 3rd in the state. Taylor Bennett also ran 24.25 at the Klein Relays.

An outstanding meet was held in Dallas, Texas on Saturday in the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays with several US leading performances coming out of it.
