NEW COVID LIMITATIONS on the Panther Classic

We have enjoyed hosting a large event in the past, but that is just not possible this year. We know many teams have planned to attend this year and will be disappointed. I'm sorry. We hope to be able to return to normal next year and accommodate everyone.

Registration is CLOSED. Our administration and city are only allowing 25% of normal capacity. We had to shut down entries with what we already had registered. The teams already registered are limited to only 15 runners.

No spectators allowed on site. I'm sorry, but this is the only way we can still host a meet this year. Please inform your parents that they will not be allowed to enter the venue. Spectator parking lots will be closed.

Runners and coaches must be screened. A form will be emailed out and must be turned in upon check-in.

Runners must wear a face covering, except when warming up and competing. Coaches must wear a face covering at all times unless socially distanced.
Starting boxes will be assigned and spaced out with 12 feet apart. Athletes are asked not to approach the starting line until called to do so 5 minutes before their race. Please ask your runners to move quickly out of the finish chute and replace their face covering as breathing returns to normal.
Water bottles will be handed out outside the finish chute.
Trainers will be available for serious injuries and emergencies only. Please ask your athletes not to approach them for any other reasons.
Team camp areas will be painted and teams are asked to stay within those areas unless warming up or competing.

No awards ceremony. Results will be announced and awards may be picked by a coach at the registration tent.

We will run each of the races in two waves. The order will be announced.

9:30 am HS Girls

10:10 am JH Boys

10:40 am JH Girls

Location: Across from James Butts Baseball Complex, 1231 N. Lincoln St.

Please do not drop off or unload at the crosswalk on Lincoln. Please ask your student-athletes to only cross at the crosswalk.

Costis $50 per team, individuals $10. Checks payable to SSHS Athletics. Mail to: SSHS, Julie Kelly, 700 N. Progress Ave, Siloam Springs, AR 72761.

Awards: Medals will be given to the top 10 individuals in each of the divisions (1-3A, 4-5A, 6A). Team awards will be given to the top 2 in each division.

The Course is mostly grass. You will have to cross a ditch, a driveway, a bridge, and a new sidewalk, but all of those are covered with turf.Course Map

Amenities: T-shirts for sale for $15. Water will be provided at the finish line. Concessions for sale, pre-packaged items only. Porta-potties are available near the camp area.

Trainers, Brian Nitz and Ashlyn Wheat will be available to athletes at the end of the finish line chute.
