Haley Loewe has been the best runner in Arkansas this season. There is no debate to be had at #1.

Zoe Williamson narrowly edges out Lilly Beshears due to her head-to-head victory at Chile Pepper, which is where Williamson's 17:55.40 personal record came. Beshears leads the most talented group of underclassmen in the state and has her team firmly in the mix for a state championship.

Devyn O'Daniel and Everly O'Daniel have been fantastic this fall. Devyn is coming off a second-place finish to her teammate Loewe at Lake Hamilton while Everly most recently won in dominating fashion at the Springdale Schools Invitational two weeks ago.

Maddie Cabana has been on a tear in 2023, winning the 1,600m and 3,200m earlier this spring, and currently sits ranked 2nd in 4A. The senior has four wins this fall, to go along with an impressive 54th finish at Chile Pepper.

Emelia Hesselgren and Kayli Fitzhugh are an incredibly strong 1-2 punch for Fayetteville and should carry this squad to great heights in November. Gabbie Bishop has raced just once this season, which was a win at the Shiloh Saints Invitational on the second day of September. Assuming the sophomore is healthy, she should be a real threat come the state meet.

Kayla Eggers is the first of four Rogers freshmen who crack this week's top 20. Her freshman teammates Katherine Scudder, Elizabeth Scudder, and Anna Scudder have been equally impressive in their first high school season and will all play a big role in this team's success against Bentonville at the state meet.

Lauren Thompson has quietly put together an incredibly strong and consistent freshman season, winning four races and running 19:33 or faster in all seven of her races. Jane Adams currently has the 5th fastest time in the state, running an 18:38.97 at the Van Buren Classic over the weekend, and is a new name to keep your eyes on this postseason as she could quickly ascend through the rankings.

Cadence Hodge has only finished 1st or 2nd in her five races this season, which includes an 18:51.54 most recently at last weekend's Van Buren Classic. Virginia Milwee finished 4th at this weekend's Lake Hamilton meet, which is by far her most impressive outing this season. The sophomore ran her personal best at the state meet last fall and will be eagerly awaiting her next opportunity in two weeks.

Cady Masters has pulled double duty between cross country and volleyball all season and has done so tremendously. With the postseason upon us, cross country should become the sophomore's main focus and lead to a big drop in her times.

Brooklyn Nicholson won at the Cyclone Invitational this season and finished 3rd at the 5A state meet last season and should be in the mix once again in two weeks. Calie Love wraps up the girl's top 20 off the heels of a 3rd place finish at the Gravette Invitational on Tuesday.
