5A West Conference Cross Country Meet

Date: October 24th, 2017

Schedule: Approximate times, races will start on a rolling schedule

Course preview @ 9:00am until the start of the first race.

Coaches meeting @ 10:30pm near finish line

Jr Girls 2M @ 11:00am;

Jr Boys 2M @ 11:30am

Sr Girls 5K @ 12:00pm

Sr Boys 5K @ 12:30pm

Location: University of the Ozarks Cross Country Trails; Take Exit 58 for AR -- 103 S (S Rogers Street), turn onto AR -- 103 S/S Rogers St (going south), 0.2 mi turn left onto Market St, 0.5 mi turn right onto paved drive after Wal -- Mart (River Valley Animal Products Drive), course will be on the left.

Description: The course is grass/dirt mix of field and wooded areas. It is a looped course which passes by the start/finish area each lap (2 laps for the 2M race, 3 laps for the 5K). Cut through trails allow for spectators and coaches to observe the race in most parts of the wooded areas.

Awards: The top Sr/Jr girls and boys team will receive an award. Top 10 individuals in each race will also receive medals. Awards ceremony after completion of Sr Boys race.

Parking: Volunteers will be directing traffic starting at 9:30am. There will be a $5 charge per vehicle. Buses will park inside the course (second field on the left as you approach, same area used for the University of the Ozarks Invitational). Please have your student-athletes remind parents to not park on River Valley Animal Products property!!! The grassy area on the right as you approach has been approved but we have to stay off their property (anything past the green metal privacy fence). Also, the parking lot on the left as you approach will be used for spectators.

T-shirts: Preorder deadline is October 6th. Please send an email to bryan.qualls@csdar.org to place your order. There will be shirts available for purchase on race day on a first come, first serve basis.

Registration: $50 per team of 5 or more. (e.g. A school entering 5 or more runners in each race -- JH Girls, JH Boys, HS Girls, HS Boys -- would pay a $200 entry fee.) $10 per runner entered in a race if a school enters fewer than 5 runners in that race. (e.g. If a school entered only 4 runners in the HS Girls race, that school would only pay an entry fee of $40 for that race.)

Please register on MileSplit by October 20th @ 11:59 am for the convenience of the race director! Additions after the deadline will NOT be allowed (contact Coach Provence for changes that occur after the deadline)! Checks can be made out to: Clarksville High School Athletics

Race will be chip timed. All chips MUST be returned to timing company! There will be a $25 charge for all chips not returned! Coaches should check to make sure ALL chips are securely fastened to each runner's shoe (zips ties included). No chip, no time!
