Emma Fowlkes has won this week's Milesplit Arkansas Girls Runner of the Week!
In her first high school cross country race, Fowlkes went toe-to-toe with some of the best distance runners in Central Arkansas and took home an impressive victory on a challenging course, beating the second place finisher by nearly 40 seconds.
The freshman from Vilonia led from the gun and crossed the line in 19:18.74. Amongst freshman girls in Arkansas, Fowlkes is ranked sixth and is sure to continue her ascent to the top as the weather gets better and courses get faster!
