Arkansas' Field Events Pop Off @ adidas Track Nationals

And with that, the 2025 Indoor Track and Field season has officially come to a close.

Last weekend, some of Arkansas' very best performers in the field events made their way to Virginia Beach for adidas Track Nationals and it was an excellent way to cap off a historic indoor season.

BC Athletics had a strong contingent of athletes attend the meet and found success against some of the nation's best. Kenzie Pruett and Tessa Trujillo earned All-American honors in the penthalon, finishing 2nd and 4th respectively.

Pruett walked away with a new personal best in the event, scoring 3,268 points across the five events. The future Arkansas State Red Wolf impressed in the 60m dash, scoring 858 points in that event alone and improving upon her 11th place finish at New Balance Indoor Nationals last year.

Trujillo capped off the weekend with a strong showing in the long jump, which helped propel her to her 4th place finish. The multis star from Thaden School is just a sophomore and will be a real threat to win this event next season, if she were to return.

Kylee Wages also made the trip with BC Athletics and finished 15th. Just a freshman, Wages fouled out of the long jump, which would have otherwise drastically changed her final result.

Mattix Dacunha and Dalton Lingo made the trip on the guys side and also came away with All-American honors.

Dacunha finished 2nd, scoring 3,473 points and winning the long jump and 60mH events along the way, while Lingo finished 6th and was incredibly consistent. Scoring 3,132 points, the sophomore from Bentonville West scored between 576 to 596 points in the four final events after the 60m dash.

Arkansas' very best in the throws events also made the trek to Virginia Beach. Jane Musengwa, the future Central Arkansas Bear, finished 2nd in the Girls Championship Shot Put competition, throwing a new personal best of 44-5.5 - a new all-time AR #1. The senior from Bentonville also finished 9th in the weight throw.
