Meet Information

THE MEET IS FULL AND WE ARE NO LONGER ALLOWING ADDITIONAL TEAMS IN AT THIS TIME!!! THIS IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FACILITY GUIDELINES BY OAKLAWN RACING AND CASINO.

Coaches,

We are happy

to have you coming to the Lake Hamilton Cross Country Invitational. Most of you

have been here before and there will be some looks to the meet that are

different than before due to Covid as you already know. I would like to pass

along the following information to you about the meet a week from Saturday. If

Country

Entry Fee

*Entry fee: $55 per team of 5 to 9 runners. For

incomplete teams less than 5 runners, the charge is $10 per athlete. All four

teams will be $220. Entries fees are due on day of meet or should be in the

mail sent to the following address.

Team

Parking

Buses will

enter the North parking lot across from First Baptist Church to unload runners

and equipment. Visiting Buses will be parked in the North parking lot across

from First Baptist Church.



Entrance to infield

Entrance to

the infield for teams to enter the infield will be at 7:45 a.m. no sooner.

Visiting

teams competing must present at the entrance a copy of their Covid-19 prescreen

questions that includes all Coaches, student athletes that are entering the

infield. This will be taken at a table set up at the gate before being allowed

onto the infield. Anyone answering yes to any of the pre-screen questions will

not be allowed to enter.

Visiting

teams that have a school administrator attending must provide an additional

sheet with their Covid-19 prescreen questions that has that administrators name

on it before they will be allowed into the infield area.

Coaches will

have their temperature taken prior to entering the infield at the Covid-19

screening table.

Coaches and

Runners are to wear masks when they enter the infield.

Note: Fans,

Parents, Spectators are still not allowed to attend the meet!!! Make this clear

to your fan base they will not allowed to be able to come in.

Team Camps

Team camps

will only be allowed in the inner fenced in area of the infield that contains

the gazebo. Every school coming has been at Oaklawn before and will know where

to set up at.

Team camps

must be at least 12 feet away, recommended 20 ft. away from any other team camp

on the infield.

Runners

Runners are

to wear masks at all times unless they are:

1.Warming up

2.Racing

3.Cooling down

Runners are

only allowed outside the inner fenced team camp area for:

1.Warm up

2.Racing

3.Cool down

Runners are

not to be outside the inner fenced team camp area standing around as spectators

for other races.



Packet Pick-up

Coaches can

pay entry fee, pick up team race chips, course maps, at the Gazeebo.

-Visiting

teams can enter the following:

A. 9 Sr. Boys in the Sr. Boys division

B. 9 Sr. Girls in the Sr. Girls

division

C. 9 Jr. Boys in the Jr. Boys

division

D. 9 Jr. Girls in the Jr. Girls

division

Race Times

Jr.Boys 9:00 Jr. Girls 9:30,

Sr. Boys 10:00, Sr. Girls 10:30.

Starting of Races

Races will use the traditional

box start. Coaches will receive a box assignment sheet in their race packets at

registration. We will ask runners to keep their masks on as long as possible in

the start area until about 1 minute before a race begins. We will have a quick

announcement of instructions prior to each race with a PA system to go over

quick details about the race with runners and then fire the gun and get it

going.



Chip Timing and Race Awards

All races

will be chip timed. Chips will not be collected in the finish area, runners are

to report back to their team camps and coaches are responsible for collecting

chips and returning them to the chip timer.

Race results

will be posted at the Gazeebo medals table area and individual medals and team

winning plaques can be picked up by coaches at the medals table area. We will

not have a crowd awards ceremony this year.

Once your

schools final event has completed please exit the infield area as soon as

possible.

Macs Race

Timing will be handling the race timing and results will be posted on

their website:https://www.macsrts.com/



Water Station

At this time

we are not able to allowed to provide water aid to runners at the end of the

race. Teams need to bring their own with them for their runners.

Concessions

-Oaklawn will not run their usual

concession stands for beverages and food. Teams are allowed to bring in their

own beverages and small snack items when you 1st arrive. Teams are

not allowed to bring in catered food or to go orders from local restaurants

into the meet infield area.

Trainer

At this time

there is a planned trainer to be available for runners. The trainer will not be

able to provide taping for visiting teams.
