Meet Information
All tickets for the State & Regional Tickets will be sold ONLINE! No paper tickets will be sold at the gate. You must show your digital ticket at the gate. Printed tickets will NOT be accepted. AAA Passes will be accepted as long as the venue has not reached capacity in presold tickets or actual attendance. A ticket is required for ages 5 and up. NO RE-ENTRY. If you leave the venue, you must purchase another ticket to re-enter.

Adjusted---STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET SCHEDULE:
Due to Oaklawn's Racing Training schedule of horses during the first part of November, there will need to be a slight
change in the 2025 Cross Country State meet schedule like last year in 2024. All races will need to start 30 minutes
later than originally scheduled and the daily schedule looks as follows:

Parking (Buses and Fans)
NOTE: Fans cannot park over at First Baptist Church at all.
Buses will enter the North parking lot across from First Baptist Church and unload at the fence gate. Parking
attendants will direct buses to parking in the back of the North Parking lot.
Spectators can park in West parking lots across from Oaklawn along Alpine and Oaklawn streets.
(Spectators can use other lots further down central avenue).
Hotel/Overnight Stay
-various hotels are available in
the city for team overnight stay. The Microtel Inn and Suites has
specifically said they will be glad to accommodate teams and is within walking
distance. Best Western Inn is located directly across from Oaklawn.
Entrance and Exit to infield
-Entrance and Exit to the
infield for teams and spectators is available through the North Entrance across
from First Baptist Church.
Team Camps
Team camps will only be allowed
in the inner fenced area of the infield that contains the gazebo.
Packet Pick-up
Coaches can pick up
instructions, pick up team race chips, course maps, at the Horse Gazebo.
Races
-Races will use the traditional
box start. Coaches can pick up a box assignment sheet at registration. We will
have a quick announcement of instructions prior to each race with a PA system
to go over quick details about the race with runners and then fire the gun and
get it going. Each race will have a lead and trail vehicle.
Chip Timing and Race Awards
*Jim Yurwitz of Ytiming.net will be handling the chip timing and scoring. Live
updates will be available on ytiming.net for each race.
*If you have a runner whose chip did not read across the finish, please report immediately to the timing trailer
and bring this to the attention of Jim Yurwitz and Y Timing so he can have your runner inserted into the results.
If you do not have an athlete medaling or a team receiving a State or State-Runner Up trophy you are asked to
leave the infield with your teams as soon as possible after your races are over. Awards presentation after each
classification's boys and girls races which includes individual, team Runner-up, and team Champion trophies will be
presented at the awards at the Horse Gazebo statue. Following awards, please exit as soon as possible to make
room for the next classification coming in for the meet.
Water Station
-Teams need to bring their own with them for their runners.
-We will be able to provide some water aid for runners after their races only.
Concessions -Concessions will be available at one of the new infield buildings.
NOTE: Teams cannot bring in catered food to the meet via Oaklawn's food policy guidelines.
Restrooms
-The infield area of the team camps has 3 new concession/restroom buildings. Each building has a separate
Men's and Women's restroom option with multiple toilets for runners or spectators.
Trainer
-A school certified trainer will be onsite w/ assistants for minor injury or medical
needs.(trainer will not tape ankles for athletes)
-Certified EMT's will also be
onsite to quickly address any major injury or medical needs. Do not call 911 or
other emergency services if they are needed, we have plenty of medical care onsite for any needs.
