First, I hope everyone who reads this takes a moment to
appreciate the significance of this week, the week of the Arkansas State Cross
Country Meet. There was a time not long
ago where the prospects of a fall season looked bleak.Never the less, here we are at the tail end
of the road.I want to show my
appreciation to the AAA for letting the kids play and not letting outside
opinions influence their decision. In a time where there is so much division, thousands of young adults and spectators
will show up at Oaklawn Park on Thursday and Friday with a common purpose, and
before we know it another season will be over, and with it cross country
careers will come to a halt, but at least each athlete had control of their own
path.
