Frick Files III: The Natural State Is On The Rise

Central Arkansas, Arkansas State roll in Tennessee

A few of Arkansas' collegiate teams were in action this weekend and picked up a couple of wins in Tennessee.

At the Michael Pretorious Memorial, Central Arkansas continued their winning ways, as both men and women picked up their second straight victories to start the season.

Madeline Hill and Sara Steimel led the Sugar Bears, running a pair of sub-18 performances on an incredibly difficult course that will host the program once again in six weeks for the ASUN Championships.

The men knocked off Ouachita Baptist and Lipscomb, who is ranked 6th in the South Regional and will be a threat to make it out to Charlottesville for the NCAA National Championships in November.

Arkansas State cruised to a pair of wins at the Rhodes Cross Country Invitational. The men's team dominated, putting their entire top 5 inside the top 8, while the women's team did much of the same, putting their top 6 runners inside the top 13.

Both squads will race one another for the first time this season in two weeks at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the host for this year's South Central Regional Championships.
