Mount St. Mary Academy took down the Bob Gravett Invitational scoring 36 points, which was enough to beat Lake Hamilton, one of the top teams in 5A, by 19 points.
Virginia Milwee led the way, winning the girls race in 18:52.00. Her teammates Allie Steliga and Amelia Byers were not far behind and finished 2nd and 3rd, which was enough to give the Belles their first victory of the season.
Reese Kollar finished 14th and Riley Wood finished 25th to wrap up the team's top five.
After finishing 7th at the state meet a season ago, the girls returned six from their top seven and look poised to rise up the state leaderboards as the season progresses.
Congratulations to the girls from Mount St. Mary Academy!
