This week's racing is right around the corner, but the future is here. The same came be said about the Riley Farris.
Through four races this season, the freshman from Pangburn has already collected two race wins. In the two other races, she finished second - and she won the 1A-3A division in one of those.
Her most recent victory came at the Lyon College Invitational this Tuesday. In just her fourth 5,000m race, Farris took down a field of 100 girls by over 1 minute and 50 seconds, running a 20:06.69.
Farris opened up the season with a win at the Melbourne Bearkartz Invitational and ran her personal best time of 19:37.32.
As we enter October, Farris owns the 36th fastest time in Arkansas and the 11th fastest time among freshman. With about five weeks left until the state meet, there will be even more chances for the rising star to climb even further.
Keep up the great work Riley!
