With one season to go, Bruce Payerli is leaving it all on the track in 2025.
The senior from Rogers Heritage kicked off his season in spectacular fashion at the Prentice Gudgen Invitational in Pittsburg, Kansas on Saturday, picking up a win in the 60m hurdles prelims, setting a new personal best time of 8.26 - currently an AR #1.
Payerli would go on to finish 4th in the 60mH, running an 8.35 in the finals and missing out on 1st by just 0.13 seconds.
And he didn't stop there. One of the state's most versatile athletes also performed well in the 400m dash, finishing 6th and crossing the line in 50.24 - another AR #1.
Payerli's performance over the weekend in Kansas highlights his potential to improve even more as the season continues and his next opportunity could come as soon as next week at the Arkansas HS Invitational.
