Following two strong races to start the season, Rocky Stone set another personal best on Saturday at the Frank Horton Night Classic in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday.
Against a field of 261 runners, Stone set a new personal best en route to a 22nd place finish crossing the line in 16:28.50.
It's been a quick start for the senior from Harding Academy. Stone opened the season finishing 16th at the Little Rock XC Classic before finishing 3rd at the Bison XC Invitational a week later. After spending a few weeks training, Saturday was Stone's big payoff.
Stone currently owns the fastest time run in the Class 3A boys division this season by over 43 seconds and has the 43rd in the entire state.
