There were six freshmen girls last year who dipped under 19 minutes in the 5K and given the current state of girls' distance running in the Natural State, we should expect big things from the Class of 2028.
Maggie Bishop led the way for the freshmen girls last fall, running a 17:25.40 at the Chile Pepper Festival, finishing 3rd en route to the 7th fastest time run by a freshman in the country. Emma Fowlkes, Nora Wise, and Annie Cornett each enjoyed strong starts to their high school careers, while Bentonville looks to be building its next championship-caliber roster.
